Adun Olawale is a graduating senior from Frederick Douglas High School with a passion for innovation and creativity. Driven by the philosophy of exploring diverse interests to discover his true calling, Adun found his niche in apparel design.

Asia is a multi-talented individual, excelling as a classically trained cellist, a skilled figure skater, and a model since the age of nine. She has also ventured into fashion, working as a stylist and even designing her own pieces.

Asia Robinson is a Civil Engineer, having a professional career that spans nine (9) years as it relates to the design of future, or maintenance and inspection of existing, railway and roadway transit systems. In 2015, she acquired a Civil Engineering degree via Temple University in Philadelphia, PA. While attending college, Ms. Robinson was an active leader in student organizations, having served as the Chapter Vice President for the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE). After working professionally in Philadelphia for five (5) years, Ms. Robinson relocated to Los Angeles, CA where she is currently based. 

Ayjah Douglas is a graduating senior from Crossland High School with a newly acquired certification from the culinary arts program. She plans to further her education and hone her culinary skills at Bowie University.

Buike Aneke is a graduating senior from Duval High School. Driven by his passion for cutting hair and a desire to provide affordable grooming services to his peers, Buike started his own barbering business.

Chikira Bennett is a television writer based in Los Angeles, CA. After graduating from Temple University, Chikira has worked for the last decade in the entertainment industry, first at a talent agency in their scripted television division, then later assisting one of the co-presidents at Sony Television Studios. 

Previously, she received her first credit as a TV writer on the finale episode of MRS. DAVIS after working as the writers’ assistant on the Peacock series. More recently, she co-wrote the finale of the television adaptation of the horror novel, THE DEVIL IN SILVER at AMC Network. Currently, she works as a writer of audio narrative series at PocketFM and in her downtime, is pursuing a second career as a college basketball official. 

Corey S. Fields is a dedicated advocate for medical cannabis and alternative therapeutic methods. As an African American male with over three years of experience in education, Corey brings a unique and insightful perspective to the field. He is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Medical Cannabis and Therapeutics at the University of Maryland.

Courtney-Maurice Teesdale is a graduating senior from Suitland High School, where she has excelled in the IB program for the past four years. She is proud to be graduating third in her class.

Meet Debrah Platt-Blackwell, an accomplished professional with a diverse range of experiences and a passion for community engagement. As an Administrative Assistant Contractor at Ovation Management Partners LLC, Debrah effectively coordinated schedules, meetings, and activities to support operational activities. 

Dr. Dove is renowned for her unwavering dedication to fostering high student achievement in the field of science. As an innovative and resourceful educator, she cultivates a dynamic and student-centered classroom environment that captivates and engages learners.

Enoch Omotayo hails from Prince George’s County, Maryland, and is currently a high school senior at Charles Herbert Flowers High School. With a steadfast commitment to both public service and academic excellence, he proudly maintains a GPA of 3.8. Enoch's journey towards advocacy commenced during his middle school years, igniting within him a passion for effecting meaningful change. 

Favour Gam, currently a freshman at the University of Maryland, is pursuing a major in Biochemistry. With a background rooted in the Aerospace Engineering and Aviation Technology program at DuVal High School, her experiences serve as a valuable asset for students navigating their future career paths.

Gabriella Gresham, a certified Yoga Teacher and graduating senior from the PGCPS Online Campus program, found inspiration in her older sister to pursue yoga. Now, as the founder of Yoga2Youth, her organization endeavors to impart mindfulness to the youth of the DC-Metropolitan Area.

As a field engineer with Turner Construction, Ikenna Anazodo brings valuable expertise to the construction industry. A graduate of Morgan State University, where they earned a degree in civil engineering in 2022, Ikenna has since dedicated two years to honing their skills in construction. 

Janae Wheelan serves as an Assistant Site Leader for the Community Youth Advance (CYA) Judge Sylvania Woods afterschool program, demonstrating her commitment to enriching the lives of young learners. Following her high school graduation, Janae embarked on a full-time role with CYA for a gap year, gaining invaluable experience in the field.

Jasmine Lomax, the weekend meteorologist at Fox45 in Baltimore, proudly brings her expertise to forecasting the dynamic weather of the Mid-Atlantic region. A Maryland native, Jasmine's return home is fueled by her passion for science and writing. 

Judah Fashe, a 20-year-old graphic designer and the visionary CEO behind Mogul Forever, a prominent clothing brand. With a keen eye for design and creativity, Judah serves as the sole designer and creative director for Mogul Forever, which encompasses subsidiary entities like Mogul GFX (Graphic Design Film) and Mogul Cutz (where he also practices his skills as a barber).

Introducing Marissa Haynes, an accomplished aviator, a former flight instructor, and a seasoned pilot across various aviation sectors, including cargo, regional, and private jet operations. Marissa has also served as a Peace Corps Volunteer, bringing their skills and experience to communities around the world.

Michael Peters, a 17-year-old Nigerian photographer based in the DMV area, is not only a talented athlete excelling in football and wrestling, but also a budding entrepreneur. Two years ago, he founded his own photography business, and since then, he hasn't looked back. Through his self-taught skills, Michael has had the opportunity to explore new places and connect with diverse individuals, capturing captivating moments along the way.

Miranda has dedicated the past decade to serving in various capacities within the federal government, including notable roles at the Navy, The White House, the General Service Administration (GSA), The Census Bureau, and The Department of Justice. Currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Cybersecurity, Miranda boasts a Master of Science in the field along with several industry certifications.

Nasir L. Scott is an impassioned advocate for youth empowerment and environmental sustainability, with a special emphasis on agriculture and climate change. O'Marie Barnes is a dynamic community leader, passionate advocate, and dedicated nonprofit leader with a fervent interest in Law and Politics. As the esteemed founder of the Community Organization Barnes and Scott Youth Law Camp, O'Marie is committed to empowering young individuals and bridging the gap between government and his peers through various youth-led initiatives and programs.

Pelumi Bukoye is a remarkable third-year student enrolled in the VPA Dance Program at Suitland High School. Her journey into dance began after an initial setback when she tried out for the middle school performing arts program as a theater major but did not secure a spot. Undeterred, this experience inspired her to explore dance, where she discovered a natural talent and passion.

Ruth Chi is the esteemed President and Founder of My Neighbor’s Keeper Alliance, USA, a nonprofit organization dedicated to offering preventive education to youths of color in the Washington Metro Area regarding early alcohol and substance abuse. Tamilore “Tami” Adejumo is a multifaceted individual, renowned as an author, creative, and graduate of the International Baccalaureate (IB) program. Her passion for writing, reading, and public speaking culminated in the release of her debut book, “Along The Way,” in September 2023. Through her literary endeavors, Tami aims to inspire others to lead purpose-driven lives infused with faith in God.

Thomas Richberg from Savannah, Georgia. Since his sophomore year of high school, basketball has been a significant part of his life. Despite his passion and dedication to the sport, Thomas has encountered medical concerns that have led him to reconsider his plans for a collegiate basketball career.

Tobias Dorzon is a multifaceted American chef, restaurateur, and former professional football player. Drawing inspiration from his West African heritage, Dorzon infuses his cooking with a rich tapestry of flavors and traditions. His culinary prowess has earned him appearances on esteemed culinary competitions such as Chopped, Tournament of Champions, and Guy's Grocery Games.

Toni Martin is a dedicated and ambitious graduate with a degree in Biological Sciences from UMBC, eager to seize opportunities for growth and development. Currently, she is a post-baccalaureate fellow conducting immunology-based research on double negative T (DNT) cells in the reproductive tissues of lupus mouse models. This work has deepened her understanding of immunological processes and their implications in autoimmune diseases.

Yelli Coulibaly is a practitioner of international relations with a focus in subsaharan Africa. She received her undergraduate degree from McDaniel College in Political Science and a master’s degree in International Relations from Syracuse University. Her work has been mainly focused on the protection of African democracies and the inclusion of marginalized groups in electoral processes.

Usama Young is a former American football safety. He played college football at Kent State University. He was selected by the New Orleans Saints in the third round of the 2007 NFL Draft. He also played for the Cleveland Browns.

Antonio Williams, with 21 years of coaching experience, serves as the head coach of the men's basketball program at Bladensburg High School. Through his tutelage, a multitude of athletes have progressed to the collegiate level in basketball, demonstrating his unwavering commitment to their athletic and personal growth. Antonio demonstrates a strong dedication to his community by organizing complimentary basketball camps for the young residents of the Town of Bladensburg. In addition, he actively volunteers at  countless coat and toy drives and actively participates in Thanksgiving turkey giveaways , showcasing his dedication to philanthropy and his desire to create a meaningful influence beyond his involvement in basketball.

Jameelah Muhammad Ingram, P.E. is an Assistant Vice President and Structural Engineer in the Washington, D.C. office of WSP USA. She was inspired to study architecture and structural engineering by the soaring skyscrapers and beautiful bridges in her hometown of Chicago, Illinois. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Princeton University and a Master of Science in Civil Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology.

Tayler Martin holds a Bachelor's degree in History with a special interest in Political Science, complemented by a Master's degree in Education. Before transitioning to the nonprofit sector, she taught high school history, where she cultivated her passion for educating young minds. Her research focuses on race relations within the Black diaspora, minorities in the political landscape, and the preservation of constitutional rights. Through her work, she aim to shed light on the complexities of these issues and advocate for equitable solutions that honor our diverse societal fabric.

Azaria Muhammad graduated from Eleanor Roosevelt High school last week. At school she was the president and founder of a club called Femme Now that advocates for gender equality. She was also a vice president of the French Honor society and a member of the National Honor Society. Azaria also played for Roosevelt’s girl soccer team since her sophomore year. She was on varsity for two years and JV for one year. She has maintained a GPA of above 4.0 all four years of highschool and has received three scholar athlete awards. Outside of school, she is the president of the MB-NCNW youth section. She was previously the vice president and has been a member since 2017. She also serves as Creative Director for a community program called Teen Takeover in Greenbelt. She stays active in her school’s local community like volunteering at Greenbelt Labor Day Festival and summer camp when she's available. She will be attending Syracuse University in the fall to study Public Relations.

Jessica has been doing lashes for about 1.5 years now! She just graduated high school from Charles Herbert Flowers High School. Her favorite part of her business is meeting new people and marketing!

Messiah Wilson recently graduated from Oxon Hill High School's Science and Tech Program. He will be going to North Carolina A&T in the fall majoring in Landscape Architecture. He loves to do yoga, garden, and make jewelry.

Lesly Escobar is a 2024 graduate from Bladensburg High School. She is planning to pursue a career in social work and plan to attend Prince George’s Community College in the Fall where she'll be majoring in Psychology. She was class secretary and the advisor for her school’s JROTC program. She likes to go camping and hangout with her friends. 

Adiya Jones was born and raised in Washington, D.C. she is pursuing a social work degree at Buffalo State University, class of 2025. At Buffalo State, she has taken on multiple roles: she serves as a Resident Assistant and plays as a small forward on the basketball team, a sport she has been passionate about since 9th grade.

Outside of her studies and basketball, she enjoys exploring nature, watching movies, traveling, and overall having fun!  Also, her relationship with Jesus Christ helps her maintain a balanced and fulfilling life.

Looking ahead, her professional goal is to continue playing basketball which is contingent on how her last year goes. She aspires to make a significant impact in the field of social work simultaneously. She is committed to continuous learning and leadership, always seeking opportunities to grow both personally and professionally.
